At Kidz ‘R’ Us Child Care Early Learning Centre, we are committed to providing safe, loving care in a nurturing and positive learning environment. The centre strives to create a supportive family atmosphere in which the care given is an extension of the home. During the early childhood years it is essential to establish a positive partnership between home and the centre. Our quest is to provide young children with a caring, accepting, magical and discovering childhood.

We recognize that children experience life at their own level. We support this by accepting each child for their uniqueness and challenging their interests, talents and abilities. Each child’s individuality will be recognized and respected. When children are valued, they will be confident to develop their own potential. Children will be encouraged to face new experiences and to know that it is not the successor or the failure that is important, but the growing that occurs.

To provide the highest quality child care service to all families regardless of race, religion, social or economic background, culture, sex, creed or abilities.

To ensure our programs encourage the development of independence, decision making and self respect in all children, by respecting each child’s individuality and nurturing every child’s physical, mental, social, environmental and spiritual needs.

We believe that there should be active exchange of information between staff and families. Staff can learn from parents and parents can learn from staff. Also good communication with all care givers are important, as it avoids any misunderstandings and therefore improves the care of children. We will also encourage families to be involved in the program and to contribute their knowledge and skills, while respecting and valuing all efforts and participation.

We believe that the safety of children is of utmost importance. Safety in regards to the appropriate use of toys and equipment as well as safety in regards to play with other children. We believe that children need stability and routine, and that staff need to try to maintain as much as possible the routine the children have at home, whilst fitting them into the group routine the care giver provides.

We believe in the importance of staff teamwork and communication. We will use constructive methods of conflict resolution and make sure that staff are aware of the importance of a team approach.
